SHAH ALAM, AUG 21: Residents of Kampung Baru Hicom, Seksyen 26 is hoping that Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS) will solve the leaking pipe which is causing water disruption in the area.
Residents claimed they have lodged 20 complaints to relevant authority with no response until now.
One of the residents, Nur Aini Fauzi said a leakage has caused water pressure to be low, making it difficult for residents to go about on their daily activities.
“I have a small child and if this situation persists with no action from relevant parties, it will be difficult for us.
“More disappointing that even to cook we have to collect water for to half an hour,” she lamented.
Another resident, Ridhwan Ismail said, a special team from SYABAS did a survey recently and admitted that there is a leakage in the piping system in that residential area.
“SYABAS came and check last August 12 and informed us of a leakage and that they will send a team to investigate,” he said.
SelangorKini also got a response from Sri Muda State Council Member, Suhaimi Shafie regarding the water disruption in the area.
“I will check all facts first,” he said briefly through Whatsapp, this morning.
Meanwhile, in its response, SYABAS informed that they have received complaints regarding the matter and they have been forwarded to the relevant department.
