SHAH ALAM, AUG 15: Citizens are asked to refer to the official media, SelangorKini to get the latest news and development on the State Government.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, this is to ensure the citizens get accurate details on issues which are normally not published by other media especially mainstream media.
He said, the mainstream media tend to publish issues which are deliberately exaggerated to paint a negative picture on the State Government.
“Our success, like the local authorities getting the 5-star award will not be broadcast in the 8 o’clock news on television and certain newspapers.
“What we hear is Selangor is dirty, a lot of mosquitoes, people in Selangor cannot bathe for 2 weeks, potholes and many more.
“It is not the journalists’ faults as they write good things but their editors are naughty.
“I tell them (journalists) it’s okay, stop working there and work with SelangorKini,” he said, followed by applauses from over 1,000 public servants.
He said that yesterday at the Government Department Monthly Meeting and Selangor 2017 Jalur Gemilang Campaign Launch.
During the recent Sepang District Turun Padang Programme, Mohamed Azmin also reminded people on the importance of choosing the source of current news.
“The good things in Selangor are not out in certain media, only bad things.
“So, don’t read newspapers from that side only, refer to media source which is more transparent like SelangorKini,” he said in his speech at the Notice 5A Handover Ceremony at Dewan Orang Ramai in Taman Gemilang.
