SHAH ALAM, AUG 14: Responding to factual arguments with acts of violence is totally unacceptable, said Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
The Dato’ Menteri Besar said, democracy should welcome the diversity of views with debate, not violence and intimidation.
He said, it is also consistent with the nature of Malays who are courteous, ethical and respectful of others.
“I aspire to build a nation who is civilized and we must protect this value (of Malays) from being tarnished by a few rouges who are willing to throw shoes or chairs as they are loaded with bribes.
“Throwing chairs, shoes and flares will most certainly not able to contain the practice of corruption,” he said to over 1,000 public servants.

He was speaking at the Government Departments’ Monthly Meeting and Selangor 2017 Jalur Gemilang Launching Ceremony.
He was believed to be referring to the pandemonium which occurred at the Nothing To Hide 2.0 (NTH 2.0) Programme at Dewan Raja Muda Musa yesterday.
The programme which started smoothly turn into a chaos when several individuals started throwing shoes, chairs and flares towards Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who was speaking.
Nevertheless, several security officials managed to protect the fourth Prime Minister.
