SHAH ALAM, AUG 7: The Selangor Mega Food Festival 2017 is constantly improved since the first time it was organised in 2015.
Youth, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development Exco, Amirudin Shari said, the No 1 Malaysian food festival went on smoothly and received encouraging response.
At the same time, he apologised to the visitors as the Kendurian Programme has to be cancelled for certain reasons.
“On behalf of the organiser and the State Government, I would like to apologise for this issue. But we can see that in spite of this issue, the attendance is still very encouraging.
“However, this festival is not short of various urban, traditional and contemporary types of food,” he said at the Selangor Mega Food Festival which was held at Dataran Kemerdekaan last night.
Meanwhile, the ‘Kendurian Makan Sampai Pengsan’ programme organiser decided to auction about 15 tonnes of durian after having to postpone the programme since the fruits were not fully ripe.
The decision was made to avoid major losses in addition to demands from customers to auction the king of fruits.
