SHAH ALAM, AUG 3: The State Excos commended Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU) for its effective Smart Selangor implementation initiatives.

Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco, Dato’ Teng Chang Khim was also pleased with the initiatives.

In fact, he made some other suggestions to expand the initiatives and improvise the current system.

“He had also noted that every move is effectively monitored and supervised so that the citizens can reap full benefit, while he also provided some suggestions to improve the existing system,” it said in the Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated’s (MBI) statement.

Earlier, Teng went on an official visit to the SSDU’s Office to observe the operation in the Smart Selangor Command Centre’s and to get the latest information on Smart Selangor initiatives.

His visit was accompanied by MBI Chief Executive Officer, Raja Shahreen Raja Othman; Economic Planning Unit Deputy Director, Mohd Yazid Sairi and SSDU Deputy Director, Dr Fahmi Ngah.

The Smart Selangor project manager made a presentation on the development of several projects such as Bus Information System (BIS), Waze potholes reporting system, Environmental Monitoring Application, Traffic Light Monitoring System and the Community Opinion Online.

SSDU is a unit mandated by State Executive Council (MMKN) to mobilise the Smart Selangor agendas by streamlining the infrastructures for system improvements, collaborating with stakeholders, facilitating and managing service providers and finding solutions to issues raised by citizens.
