Radar reported missing arrived Netherlands – Customs DG

PUTRAJAYA, JUNE 29: The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) has denied reports that containers with sophisticated military radar equipment has gone missing at the Tanjung Pelepas Port (TPP), Johor Bahru.

Its Director-General (DG), Datuk T. Subromaniam said the containers have in fact reached its destination which is the Rotterdam Port, Netherlands.

“What JKDM is investigating is more on the compliance to the internal standard operating procedure (SOP) when releasing goods that require permit under the 2010 Strategic Commercial Act,” he said in a statement today.

A local English newspaper reported today that containers with sophisticated military radar equipment on the way from Australia to Netherlands went missing in transit at the TPP.
