SEGAMBUT, JUNE 16: The health of KEADILAN’s De facto Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was reported as stable after receiving treatment from Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) since yesterday.

However, Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said, Anwar still needs physiotherapy and follow-up treatments following the right shoulder pain he has been suffering since before.

“His situation is stable now. In a family meeting with Anwar earlier (yesterday), we had the opportunity to break fast and perform maghrib prayer together before being asked to leave at 8 p.m.

“We were informed by the hospital that Insyaallah Brother Anwar will be discharged this Saturday if his situation improves,” she said to SelangorKini last night at the Break Fast Ceremony in her Home in Bukit Segambut.

It was understood that Anwar was rushed to the hospital yesterday evening when his blood pressure went down.

One of Anwar’s lawyer, N Surendran, expressed hopes that the authority can expedite the treatment on Anwar in order to know his exact health condition.

Anwar was said to be suffering from a 4cm growth at his kidney, 6 kg weight loss, muscle tear on his shoulder and chronic arthritis.

The lawyer also claimed that examination on him when he was detained in the same hospital is not sufficient and he needs a follow-up treatment from a specialist hospital, chosen by his family.
