SHAH ALAM, MAY 21: The family of the late Bill Kayong became the first recipient of the Bill Kayong Award at the 12th KEADILAN Annual National Congress.
The award was presented by KEADILAN President, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to the brother of the late Bill Kayong, Davy Kayong and witnessed by his son, Zinadine Zidane.
Davy in his speech thanked KEADILAN for honouring his late brother’s contributions.
Bill also left a widow, Hasyikin Hatta and a daughter, Veralyna.
Dr Wan Azizah in her speech also honoured the late Bill Kayong who had fought to defend the native lands from being taken away by certain unscrupulous parties.
