RAWANG, MAY 12: His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has graced the Perodua Mosque Officiating Ceremony in Sungai Choh.

His Majesty arrived at approximately 12.10 in the afternoon accompanied by Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and the State Excos, Dato’ Dr Yunus Hairi and Zaidy Abdul Talib.

He toured the mosque exhibits and signed the officiating plaque before performing Friday Prayers with the people.

The Perodua Mosque is built as an initiative to facilitate Perodua workforces and the local community to perform their prayers and other religious activities.

The initial work on the mosque started since August 2014. It costs RM10 million and is located on a 0.92-acre land.

It is equipped with various facilities including dining area for functions, Qurban area and funeral handling services.

Classified as a Management Mosque, it can accommodate 3,000 people at any one time.

The mosque interestingly takes on the shape of a prostrating individual and is inspired from Perodua Logo.

Meanwhile, it also has the artistic concept and comfort in its structure which give the sense of serenity and harmony to its visitors.
