SHAH ALAM, APRIL 20: Bursa Malaysia opened slightly lower this morning due to weak sentiment in regional markets, reported by BERNAMA.

As at 9.06am, the benchmark index FBM KLCI stood at 1,737.96, reduce 1.89 points from Wednesday's close of 1,738.95.

Meanwhile, the key index opened 1.05 points lower at 1,737.9.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Asian stocks may open low due Wall Street weakness in the United States (US) and a drop in commodity prices, especially oil, which makes investors reducing exposure to risky assets.

The market is likely to trade in a normal trading range, barring any surprising data in Asia.

The MSCI index outside Japan fell 0.5 percent in early trading today after the close of one per cent lower, yesterday.

ANZ analysts said the market may continue to be traded in caution with the French elections taking place, this weekend.
