Shah Alam Mayor, Dato’ Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saas said, it includes distribution of garbage bins with wheels (Mobile Garbage Bins – MGB) to residents in MBSA’s jurisdiction.

He said, more than 900 units of 120 litre MGB, 495 units of 660 litre MGB and 43 units of Leach Bins will be distributed for free by stages to residents.

“Although it involves a big amount of money but MBSA is prepared to spend to improve solid and domestic waste management within the community.

“This effort is also believed to be capable of increasing recycle rate percentage and subsequently achieve the goals of Zero Waste City and Low Carbon City in Shah Alam by 2030,” he said.

He was attending the Free Garbage Bins Distribution for Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh Residents Ceremony yesterday.

Also present were Paya Jaras Assemblyman, Khairuddin Othman and Deputy Mayor, Shukri Mohamad Hamin.

211 units of 120 litre MGB were distributed to the Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh Phase 3 residents.
