KLANG, MAR 1: The stench of chicken manure that had inhaled by residents in Taman Sri Saujana ended when the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) do confiscated at the house involved.

Director of Corporate Communications, Norfiza Mahfiz said the house was inhabited by foreigners cause a nuisance to the neighbourhood.

She said the action of a notice under Section 80 of the Local Government Act 1976 imposed on 21 February for the offense under Section 81 (b) of the Local Government Act 1976 is to keep the animals in such large numbers, causing nuisance to the public.

"Three chicken coops were seized but the chickens were not on site and a stern warning was given to the residents in order not to repeat the same after this.

"Their (residents) action on keeping chickens not only problematic to the neighbourhoods but also poses a risk of diseases associated with cleanliness," she said in a statement.

The operation was conducted by the Department of Health, Department of Enforcement and MPK Building Department to the area.

At the same time, Norfiza advised the residents to solve their own problems if it does not involve MPK.

"We often receive diverse complaints from the neighbourhoods and is not affiliated with the Local Authority.

"A variety of neighbourhood issues that can be solved alone by the spirit of diplomacy among the residents," she said.
