SHAH ALAM, FEB 23: Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament, Nurul Izzah Anwar urged the hearing conducted involving all parties accordance to the proposed project of 350 hotel units of mixed properties in Bangsar.

She said that due to the construction were conducted above ground utility conflict with the terms of land use.

She claimed that the site should only be used for the construction of staff quarters of the companies.

"This is more worrying that the project began with the demolition of existing buildings that are located adjacent to two schools.

"I want the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to monitor this and not to give approval to build a high-scale building for the purpose of profit," she said in a visit to the project site yesterday.

At the same time, Nurul Izzah urged DBKL issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) safety at the construction area.

"We also want to be given the traffic study report. So far, we just hear it each time the congestion does not occur. If confidents, give us the copy of the traffic study," she said.

The proposed development involves the demolition of existing buildings and mixed-use development containing 45 and 54 floors of corporate offices, apartments and hotels.
