<p>KUALA LUMPUR, DEC 21: An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale shook Banda Sea, Indonesia at 8.17 am, on December 21.</p>
<p>Malaysian Meteorology Department reported the epicentre as 456 kilometres southwest of Ambon, Indonesia and 1,718 kilometres southeast of Semporna, Sabah.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, the earthquake does not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia.</p>
