SUBANG JAYA, DEC 8: Schools in Subang Jaya constituency welcome the State Government’s efforts in providing aid, encouraging the development of education in Selangor.

Sekolah Sri Pintar Subang Jaya Operations Manager Nor Ikhsan Mat Nor said that the State Government’s concern in this matter, especially for private schools, is something to be proud of.

“We receive aid once or twice a year since the State Government was under the administration of Pakatan and as a private school, certainly we face financial constraints.

“This kind of aid shows that the State Government recognises our efforts in the development of education and the nation,” he said to SelangorKini.

The Sekolah Sri Pintar Subang Jaya is one of five schools in Subang Jaya constituency that has received State Government education grants, totalling RM135,000 in a second series this year.

The school received a RM25,000 grant; Sekolah Integrasi Masjid Darul Ehsan (SIMDE), RM30,000, SJK(C) Lick Hung, RM20,000, SJK(C) Chee Wen, RM30,000, and SJK(C) Tun Tan Cheng Lock, RM30,000.

Meanwhile, SJK(C) Tun Tan Cheng Lock’s Parents & Teachers Association Chairman Lee Hwa Yang described the grant distribution as fair for all schools in Selangor.

“It will greatly assist in our administration, maintenance and repair works,” he said.

SIMDE Board of Governors’ member Ahmad Fauzi Asmuin also expressed his gratitude for the aid received and will utilise it efficiently for the benefit of the school.

“We request for this every year and we are grateful for the grant which will be used for the purpose of the school’s development and maintenance,” he said.
