SHAH ALAM, NOV 11: His Royal Highness Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah received RM2.3 million in corporate zakat payments from Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd at Istana Bukit Kayangan today.
The cheque for the financial year ending 2015 was presented by Central Spectrum CEO Mahmud Abbas and will be given to the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS).
The ceremony was also attended by the Selangor Islamic Religious Council Chairman Dato' Setia Mohamad Adzib Mohd Isa, the state mufti, Dato' Setia Mohd Tamyes Abdul Wahid; LZS Chairman Tan Sri Syed Anwar Ibni Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail and LZS CEO Hussin Mohd Ali.
Central Spectrum, which is a subsidiary of Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad, is the developer of the Pulau Indah Halal Hub in Selangor.
Its operational focus includes preparing infrastructure to sustain and fulfil the industrial demands of the global halal business.
This commitment will ensure that Selangor continues to lead the halalan toyyiban trade and industry in the region and globally.
Central Spectrum has also successfully developed Pulau Indah as an attraction in Selangor.
Since beginning operations in 1994, the company has been committed to developing Pulau Indah by providing various opportunities to the local community.
