SHAH ALAM, NOV 9: The Supermoon phenomenon or Perigee full moon will be the closest the moon has ever been to the Earth for 68 years on November 14.
It will happen at 7:24pm and the full moon phase will be at 9:54 pm.
The phenomenon happens when the moon is at the closest point to the Earth (Perigee) which makes it look as if it is bigger than normal.
The National Space Agency (ANGKASA), in a statement, explained that the physical size of the moon does not change at all.
The Supermoon phenomenon has taken place previously on May 6, 2012, June 23, 2013, August 10, 2014 and September 28, 2015.
However, the upcoming event will see the moon being closest to the Earth in 68 years.
