SHAH ALAM, NOV 8: Selangor State Government subsidiary companies dominated the Selangor Excellence Business Awards 2016 (SEBA 2016) when six companies won eight of the contested 50 categories at the awards, organized by the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia - Selangor (MCCM).
The prestigious awards, held for the third time at Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), also saw four Masterclass Awards wins, when Invest Selangor Berhad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hasan Azhari Idris was named CEO of the Year (men’s category).
Meanwhile PKNS Real Estate Sdn Bhd CEO Sr Fakru Radzi Abdul Ghani bagged the Young CEO Of The Year award; and World Wide Holdings Bhd won two Masterclass awards in the categories of 'diversify Conglomerate - GLC and corporate social responsibility (CSR) categories.
Worldwide Holdings Bhd, represented by Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, rounded up their company’s meaningful night by winning the Excellence Award in the environment category thus making Worldwide Holdings Bhd a three-award winner in total.
Joining Worldwide Holdings Bhd in winning the Excellence Awards were Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd, represented by CEO Mahmud Abbas for the Property Development category; Seri Selangor Golf Club, represented by General Manager Hairul Zaini (Public Golf Course Management); and Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), represented by General Manager Nasrudi Abu Bakar (Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition).
Also gaining attention that night were popular celebrities: DNF Group Sdn Bhd CEO Datuk AC Mizal won Masterclass Award for 'Business Icon of the Year – Entertainment’ category, and Khadijah's Kitchen Sdn Bhd CEO Datuk Khadijah Ibrahim won the Excellence Award for the F&B category.
Other celebrities who also received awards for their excellence in business were the co-owner of Raviola Sdn Bhd, Datin Paduka Umie for Alternative Medicine category and owner of RCW Worldwide Sdn Bhd, Rozita Che Wan for Health and Beauty Products category.
The awards were presented by the Royal Patron of SEBA, Tengku Laksamana Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman Shah Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.
In addition to the awards presentation, the glittering ceremony was also livened with entertaining performances by AC Mizal and Khadijah.
