SHAH ALAM, OCT 31: As of October 14, 2016, Selangor’s reserves rose to RM3.62 billion from RM3.26 billion last year.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that he State Government recorded a strong financial performance with a surplus amount of RM351.38 million.
“In 2015, Selangor reserves increase to 1.8% or RM57.7 million, compared to 2014,” he said.
“We are grateful that up till October 14, 2016, the state recorded a financial surplus of RM 351.38 million.”
Until June 2016, Selangor registered a total investment of RM3.04 billion from 130 approved projects.
“Negeri Selangor remains as the main GDP contributor with an increase of 22.6%,” Mohamed Azmin said.
He said this during the presentation of the State Budget for 2017 on October 31.
