BANGI, OCT 28: The Selangor government made contributions worth RM2.3 million for reconstructing and upgrading Selangor’s private maahad tahfiz in Maahad Tahfiz Pondok Durani, Teras Jernang.
The contribution was presented by Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato 'Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali. The contribution was distributed to 41 maahad tahfiz from 12 districts in Selangor in conjunction with a field visit to Sepang district.
Persatuan Tahfiz Selangor (PITAS) Deputy Chairman Hafiz Mohd Hanifa said that he appreciated the efforts of the State Government in continuing to show concern and helping maahad tahfiz.
"I represent PITAS thanking Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato 'Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali for the concern shown; and for being willing to go to the ground and see our maahad tahfiz citizens and give them these contributions.
"We hope the contributions to the 41 maahad tahfiz can ease burdens and will be able to upgrade education for tahfiz in Selangor," he said.
