SUBANG, SEP 26: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) is implementing ‘Business Procees re-engineering’ to increase service quality for business license applications.
MPSJ Yang Dipertua Dato’ Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said there are 453 business activities which can be issued with immediate licenses, compared to only 56 prior to this.
“This immediate license is temporary while the licensing officer inspects the business premise within 14 working days from the temporary license date.
“This is also to prevent traders from conducting their businesses illegally,” he said during a media conference after the MPSJ Meeting no 08/2016 on September 26.
He added that MPSJ has issued 221 immediate licenses since August 29 until September 23.
“This is also to protect traders from being dependant on third parties who usually trick them into paying more for the license.
“A full one-year license will be given to a premise once the business activity is found to be in compliance with the license conditions, without having to wait until the last six months,” he said.
Prior to this, Hisham said, many traders complained that business licenses approval took a long time, up to even a whole year.
