SHAH ALAM, SEP 9: DYMM Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah assented the appointment of his consort, Yang Amat Berbahagia Puan Norashikin Abd Rahman as Tengku Permaisuri Selangor effective September 8 with the title DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
He also consented to award the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor which carries the title ‘Datin Paduka Seri’ to his consort, Yang Amat Berbahagia Puan Norashikin Abd Rahman.
This was announced by Setiausaha Dewan di-Raja Selangor Hanafisah Jais in an official statement from Istana Alam Shah, on September 9.
The award was bestowed after consulting with the Dewan di-Raja Selangor on September 8.
On August 31, His Majesty married Norashikin Abdul Rahman who was also a television personality at the Masjid Istana Diraja, Istana Alam Shah, Klang.
