SHAH ALAM, AUG 2: As of April 2016, with an allocation of RM3.09 million, a total of 6,180 youths had benefited from the Youth Marriage Incentive Programme.
Youth, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development Exco Amirudin Shari said of that number, 3,802 youth were Muslims and 2,378 were non-Muslims.
“This incentive scheme for youth is in line with the objective of Pembangunan Berkualiti Rakyat Dipeduli.

“This is also an initiative for the welfare of household and families in Selangor,” he said at the Selangor State Assembly on August 2.
He was responding to a question by Hulu Kelang Assemblyman Saari Sungib regarding the programme.
Amiruddin said since the incentive was introduced in 2013, a total of RM11.3 million has been spent and over 26,000 youths have benefitted from it.
In 2013, there were 5,952 participants and an allocation of RM1.19 million. The following year, the number increased to 6,451 participants (RM3.2 million) and in 2015 it increased to 7,555 participants (RM3.7 million).
