KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 — The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds warning for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor until 7pm today.
In a statement today, MetMalaysia said that areas affected in Selangor are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang.
In Kedah, the areas affected are Sik, Baling and Kulim, while in Perak, it involves Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim.
In Pahang, the areas affected are Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut and Kuantan, while in Negeri Sembilan, they are Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin.
Similar weather is expected across Melaka, while areas affected in Johor are Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru.
