Singapore Airlines suspends more flights to Dubai, Jeddah amid Middle East conflict

SINGAPORE, March 1 — The Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group has announced the cancellation of more flights to and from Dubai and Jeddah, up until March 7, following the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

CNA reported that the affected flights are SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 (Dubai-Singapore) from February 28 until March 7.

In addition, Scoot flights will be cancelled: TR596 (Singapore to Jeddah) and TR597 (Jeddah to Singapore), scheduled for March 2 to March 5 and March 7.

The airline has already cancelled its flights on Saturday following the attack on Iran by the United States (US) and Israel.

"We strongly advise customers to update their contact details via the manage booking function on the SIA and Scoot websites or subscribe to the mobile notification service to receive flight updates.

"We will continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East closely and will adjust our flight paths as needed," it said in a statement today.

According to the @flightradar24 Instagram post, airspace in the region, including Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates, remained fully closed as of Sunday, while airspace in Saudi Arabia is partially closed.
