SHAH ALAM, Feb 27 — Selangor civil servants will receive the KitaSelangor Aidilfitri Special Incentive (IKSA) in the form of one month’s salary or a minimum of RM1,000 on March 19, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He announced the incentive during a Ramadan event at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Building here today.
“This (incentive) will also be given to community leaders such as MPKK (Village Community Management Councils), Kampung Baru/Bagan communications officers, Indian community leaders, Pusat Wanita Berdaya supervisors, and Penggerak Belia Selangor (PeBS), at one month’s allowance or a minimum of RM500.
“Mosque staff and people’s tutors in Selangor will be given a RM500 incentive,” he added.
Amirudin also said that to strengthen the federal-state government partnership this year, the Selangor administration will extend a RM300 IKEA to the 50,000 federal civil servants in the state, such as policemen, army personnel, firefighters, teachers and nurses earning RM3,000 and below and with permanent employment.
Overall, the IKSA has a financial implication of RM66.25 million, the menteri besar added.
“The state government has (also) decided to bring forward the salary disbursement date for civil servants from March 16, 2026, to Friday, March 13, 2026, which is about a week before Aidilfitri.
“This decision was made to allow sufficient space for all civil servants to take care of preparations with their beloved spouses and families the week before Raya,” Amirudin said.
He also announced IKSA for journalists in Selangor.
“The state government is giving (IKSA) of RM500/RM1,000 to journalists in Selangor who registered with the Selangor Journalists and Photographers Association (WAJAR) up to February 27, 2026.
“This will be channelled through the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office with cooperation from Yayasan MBI by Aidilfitri,” Amirudin explained.
