KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 — Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit seven states and the Labuan Federal Territory until 1am today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the weather conditions were forecast to affect Kedah (Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, and Sik), Pahang (Jerantut, Maran, and Bera), as well as Negeri Sembilan (Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, and Tampin).
The warning also involves Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru) and Melaka.
In Sarawak, the affected areas are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang.
Meanwhile, in Sabah, the areas expected to be affected are the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Keningau) and the West Coast (Papar).
