SHAH ALAM, Feb 16 — The Klang District Disaster Management Committee has issued an alert for a high-tide phenomenon expected from Wednesday to February 22.
According to an infographic released by the Klang District Disaster Operations Centre (DDOC), high tides are expected to reach 5.4m on February 20 and 21 at the Pelabuhan Klang measuring station.
Throughout that period, ocean levels are expected to fall between 4.6m and 5.4m. while weather forecasts show no rain in that time.
The committee has advised the people, especially those in low-lying and coastal areas, to be prepared and alert to surrounding conditions.
This is based on data from the Meteorological Department and National Hydrography Centre.
