SHAH ALAM, Jan 28 — The First Selangor Plan (RS-1) was among the main frameworks that supported the state government’s achievements and successes throughout its implementation, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said this was an important foundation in planning the RS-2’s direction as a continuation to existing policies and initiatives.
“Thank God, the RS-1 proved its effectiveness as a catalyst to the state government’s success, with various significant achievements recorded throughout its implementation,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday after chairing a meeting on the RS-1 and RS-2 with the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) here.
Amirudin added that the state government is comprehensively assessing the RS-1’s implementation, including by identifying room for improvement and weakness that must be addressed to strengthen the RS-2.
He explained that a reflective, data-based approach is important to ensure each policy and plan is relevant, impactful, and centred on the people’s interests.
“May this effort be a strong foundation for more glorious achievements, towards a Selangor that continues to be progressive, inclusive, and resilient,” Amirudin said.
