KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 — The electricity supply that was disrupted following a fire on Wednesday (November 19) in the main switchboard room of an apartment in SS8 in Kelana Jaya was restored late last night.
Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) said a temporary supply via a mobile generator set (genset) was made available at 12.10am after the joint management body completed repair works on components needed for the genset connection.
“This temporary supply is provided for the safety and comfort of residents while the building contractor carries out full repair works on the joint management body-owned main switchboard,” it said in a statement on its Facebook page today.
TNB added that it will continue to monitor the situation and is ready to provide technical assistance to the building contractor if needed.
Recently, a video circulated on social media showing an apartment block left in darkness after the fire at the main switchboard room, affecting some 1,000 residents.
