KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, was presented with the Budget 2026 proposals by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during a royal audience today.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, the budget document was presented at Istana Bukit Tunku.
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, is scheduled to table the proposals in Parliament tomorrow.
During a briefing with media editors in Putrajaya yesterday, he said the fourth Madani government budget focuses on safeguarding the people’s welfare, strengthening the economy, and reinforcing the nation’s sustainable and inclusive foundations.
Based on the Order of Business on Parliament’s website, the Prime Minister is scheduled to table the Supply (Budget) Bill 2026 in the Dewan Rakyat at 4pm tomorrow.
The bill will be debated by MPs for eight days at the policy stage, followed by ministerial winding-up sessions from October 29 to November 4.
Debate at the committee stage will take place from November 5 to November 27, before the bill is passed by the Dewan Rakyat.
