SHAH ALAM, Sept 22 — Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj is set to marry Cik Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz on October 2, the Selangor Palace announced today.
In a statement signed by the Selangor Ruler’s private secretary Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, the palace said the akad nikah (solemnisation ceremony) will be held at the Royal Mosque in Istana Alam Shah in Klang.
The royal wedding festivities will continue with the Bersanding eremony and Royal Banquet on October 22 at Balairung Seri and Balai Santapan Diraja of Istana Alam Shah, according to the statement posted on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.
Ahead of the wedding, a statewide Yasin recital and doa selamat ceremony, organised by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais), will be held at mosques across Selangor on Thursday to seek blessings for a smooth and auspicious royal ceremony.
Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Amir Shah are scheduled to attend the doa selamat ceremony at Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, the state mosque in Shah Alam.
