MEXICO CITY, Aug 20 — Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has criticised United States (US) military manoeuvres in the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela, Xinhua reported.

On Tuesday, she said that all disputes must be resolved through dialogue, reiterating her government's call for "non-intervention" and the "self-determination of peoples."

On Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said that he has decided to mobilise 4.5 million civilian militias nationwide to thwart US threats of war against his country.

His announcement followed remarks by Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López, who accused Washington of trying to justify military actions in the Caribbean under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking.

Earlier this month, US Attorney General Pamela Bondi offered a reward of US$50 million (RM211.36 million) for information leading to Maduro's arrest, accusing him of having links to international drug trafficking.
