KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, has contributed 100 cows for this year's Hari Raya Aidiladha sacrificial slaughter.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's Facebook page, the meat will be distributed to the staff of Istana Negara, as well as to the asnaf (tithe recipients) and B40 groups.
His Majesty also recited the ‘niat korban’ during a ceremony led by the Istana Negara religious officer Datuk Munir Md Salleh at the palace today.
“To fulfil this religious observance, Sultan Ibrahim also consented to delegate the sacrificial rite to the Istana Negara committee, to be carried out on His Majesty’s behalf,” it said.
