SUBANG JAYA, April 6 — All goods donations for Putra Heights gas pipeline blaze victims will be sent to the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) Harmoni Hall.

State executive councillor for women empowerment and welfare Anfaal Saari said this is to establish a designated collection centre, prevent overstock at the Putra Heights Mosque temporary relief centre, and prevent unfair aid distribution.

“This directive was issued after we received an oversupply of goods from individuals and non-governmental organisations.

“I ordered a halt to all goods donations so the Social Welfare Department (JKM) can distribute the aid equally.

“The JKM has opened the MBSJ Harmoni Hall as a location to collect aid and goods,” she said when met during her visit to the MBSJ Camelia Hall temporary relief centre today.

Anfaal said volunteers from Wanita Berdaya Selangor will be involved in aid distribution to ensure a fair and regulated process at the collection centre.

She added that other needs such as sanitary pads, underwear and milk for children will be distributed, too.
