KUCHING, Aug 23 — The Selangor basketball team made a clean sweep of both the 2024 Malaysia Games (Sukma) 3x3 gold medals at stake at the Kuching Selatan City Council Stadium today.
Selangor got their hands on the first gold when their men’s team, comprising Chun Yang Loke, Jin Xi Yap, Zhen Yang Chong, and Zhen Yang Leong, trounced Johor 21-8.
Penang took home the bronze after edging Melaka 13-12.
Not to be outdone, the Selangor women’s 3x3 team, made up of Chah Yee Wong, Elaine Hui Lin Chong, Jia Huey Yun, and Qiyi Emily Tan, handed Johor another blow with a 21-11 win.
Negeri Sembilan settled for bronze after beating Sabah 16-11.
