SHAH ALAM, Oct 2 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) is offering up to RM20,570 in the Shah Alam 2023 Open Chess Championship, which will take place on October 21.
Held at the MBSA Convention Center, the competition features two categories, with the first for participants aged 17 and below with a RM30 entry fee.
The second is the open category for veterans, public higher education institutions (IPTA), and local authorities, with a RM35 fee.
The registration deadline for the competition, which is part of Shah Alam 23rd anniversary celebration of its city status, is on October 16 or until the participation quota is filled.
