SHAH ALAM, Feb 1 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has installed 336 sheet piles along a 135-metres length of the landslip location at Jalan LP 1A/2, Lestari Perdana in Seri Kembangan as of yesterday.

Citing a news report from Sinar Harian, MBSJ deputy mayor Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali said the piles were installed at a 12-metres depth as a temporary measure to stabilise soil movement.

He said the affected traders within the area will be allowed to resume their business once the situation is deemed safe.

“MBSJ will discuss with police first before approving the traders to continue their business,” he said.

On January 25,  five vehicles plunged into a large drain following a landslip in front of a car workshop in Lestari Perdana.

However, no victims were involved in the incident.

A similar incident had happened in 2017 about 50 metres away from the location of the scene.
