SHAH ALAM, Feb 6 — The state government has allocated RM1.67 million for the Blueprint Assistance and RM2 million for the Caring Government Housing (RKP) scheme as part of its continued commitment to help those in need of safer and more comfortable housing this year.
State Executive Councillor for human resources and poverty eradication Papparaidu Veraman said the allocation reflects the state government’s determination to ensure that assistance programmes are implemented in an organised and effective manner across all districts.
“On February 3 and February 4, I completed chairing the Coordination Meetings for the Blueprint Assistance and Caring Government Housing involving all nine districts in Selangor.
“These meetings were also attended by assistant directors from the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), assistant district officers, and mukim heads to ensure that the implementation of assistance is coordinated systematically, transparently, and effectively at the district level.
“Through this coordination, several approvals for assistance were detailed by district,” he said.
In Hulu Selangor, the Blueprint Assistance amounted to RM126,906, involving 19 recipients, while RKP totalled RM155,000, involving three recipients. In Sabak Bernam, the Blueprint allocation amounted to RM158,116 and involved 26 recipients, while the RKP totalled RM430,000 and involved eight recipients.
For Sepang, the Blueprint Assistance amounted to RM129,500 and involved 18 recipients, while no RKP applications were recorded. In Petaling, RKP amounted to RM253,000 involving four recipients, while the Blueprint allocation amounted to RM41,157 involving six recipients.
In Gombak, the Blueprint scheme involved 28 recipients with an allocation of RM180,606.48, while RKP involved six recipients with an allocation of RM260,000. In Kuala Langat, RKP involved 10 recipients with an allocation of RM542,175.78, while the Blueprint scheme involved 27 recipients with an allocation of RM171,709.56.
Meanwhile, in Klang, the Blueprint scheme involved 42 recipients with an allocation of RM298,916.94, while RKP involved 13 recipients with a total of RM605,000. In Hulu Langat, the Blueprint scheme involved 21 recipients with an allocation of RM168,230.56, while no RKP applications have been recorded to date.
Papparaidu added that RKP applications for Kuala Selangor and Hulu Langat will be presented at the Second Meeting, while Sepang has no applications.
“For the first phase of the implementation of the Blueprint Assistance, the state government will channel the allocation through UPEN directly to suppliers so that equipment and necessities for small traders can be delivered promptly before June,” he said.
The councillor hopes that the approvals that have been agreed upon can be expedited to ensure that the benefits of the assistance are genuinely felt by those in need.
“I hope that all these approvals can be implemented more swiftly so that the benefits of the assistance are truly felt by the people who need it, in line with the state government’s commitment to the poverty eradication agenda and the improvement of the community’s standard of living,” Papparaidu said.
