SHAH ALAM, DEC 9 — The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) continues its commitment to promoting inclusive digital education through the Lifelong Learning IT (LIT) and Lifelong Learning IT Soft Skills (LITs) 2025 Certificate presentation ceremony.
The initiative benefited 120 students, including those from B40 households, focusing on digital literacy and essential 21st-century skills to equip young learners for the demands of a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
It also contributed one computer unit to each participating school under the LITs initiative, saying the contribution was aimed at strengthening grassroots digital education.
"This support is part of our ongoing mission that is committed to ensuring equal access to digital resources for students, especially those from low-income families,” MBPJ said in a Facebook post today.
The event, officiated by Mayor Mohamad Zahri Samingon, was held at Ruang Rama Event Space in Petaling Jaya today.
35 training sessions were conducted between May and November 2025, covering digital basics, problem-solving, communication, and personal development modules to nurture a generation of lifelong learners.
"We remain dedicated to empowering students from low-income households so they are well-prepared to face digital challenges and stay competitive in the future," the council said.
