SHAH ALAM, May 1 — Cooperation and a spirit of tolerance must be cultivated between employers and staff to build mutual understanding and add value to the company.
State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu said this is important as it is a contributing factor to an organisation's achievement of quality standards and subsequently greater success.

"Employers and employees play vital roles. Both have their own functions and responsibilities. Therefore, they need to work together to achieve success.
"Any employee facing problems, including financial issues, must be assisted. Always be aware of the difficulties faced by staff.
"At the same time, employees should not take advantage of the employer's concern. Carry out your duties responsibly,” he told Media Selangor.
In conjunction with the Labour Day celebrations today, Papparaidu encouraged employers to provide opportunities for staff to participate in any short-term courses the state government offers.
He said this effort helps polish and enhance workers’ skills and supports the company’s growth and advancement.
“The state government offers a range of training initiatives and short-term courses. We hope employers will take advantage of these opportunities as they will ultimately benefit the company,” Papparaidu said.
